Biography
Dr. Mohammad Arif Kamal graduated with Honors in Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India in 2000 and Master of Architecture (M. Arch.) on a MHRD GATE Fellowship from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, in 2002 with 7.67 CGPA and Ph.D. in ‘Energy Responsiveness in Traditional Residential Buildings of Lucknow’ on MHRD Research Fellowship, from IIT, Roorkee in 2007. The author’s major fields of interest are Environmental Design, Sustainable Architecture, Energy Efficiency in Buildings, Climate Responsive Architecture, Traditional Architecture etc. Dr. Kamal has around 14 years of Teaching, Research and Professional Field Experience in the field of Architecture and Building Construction Technology. He is presently working as Associate Professor at Architecture Section, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He has edited 5 Special Topic Volumes related to Sustainable Building Materials, published by Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. Dr. Kamal is Editorial Board Member of many International Journals and Conference related to the Field of Architecture and Construction Engineering. He is life time member of Council of Architecture, India and Associate member of Indian Institute of Architects, India. He is also panel member of many International Research Organizations and Professional Bodies.
