Biography
Dr. Raafat El-Hacha joined the department in 2004. Prior to his appointment, he was a Research Associate at North Carolina State University (2001-2003) and an NSERC Postdoctoral fellow at the Royal Military College of Canada (2000-2001). He is currently the Faculty representative to the Calgary local chapter of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering.

Blast Mitigation and Repair using Innovative Materials Assessment, repair, and rehabilitation of concrete and steel structures, FRP hybrid-concrete composites girders for bridge construction, Using high strength materials in new construction.
